YEAR 2007
IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP, O SLEEPERS!
It is time for us to awaken spiritually and examine our hearts before the Lord. Too many people have become comfortable accepting what they are told by others without taking the time to open the Word of God, study it for themselves, and seek the truth with their whole hearts. We must never allow the words of men to take the place of the living Word of God.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 13:25 that while men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat. This is a sobering reminder of the importance of remaining spiritually awake, discerning, and firmly grounded in the truth of Scripture.
How can we truly seek God with our whole hearts if we are unwilling to open His Word and learn what He has spoken for ourselves? We cannot build a strong relationship with the Lord by relying solely on someone else's understanding of Scripture. We must be willing to pray, study, seek His wisdom, and allow His Word to examine and transform our hearts.
WAKE UP. SEEK THE LORD. SURRENDER YOUR WHOLE HEART TO JESUS CHRIST.
Following Jesus is so much more than attending church one day a week or simply saying that we believe. True faith calls us into a daily relationship with Him—a life of surrender, obedience, prayer, and transformation. It means allowing Christ to shape our thoughts, our words, our attitudes, and our actions every single day.
Romans 12:1 calls us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service. Our faith is not meant to be confined to a church service; it is meant to be lived out in our homes, our relationships, our decisions, and our daily walk with the Lord.
My heart's desire is not to condemn anyone, but to encourage every one of us to draw closer to Jesus Christ and to seek Him sincerely. We must return to His Word, test what we hear against Scripture, and never become so spiritually comfortable that we stop pursuing the truth.
The time to seek Him wholeheartedly is now. Let us awaken from spiritual complacency, lay aside the distractions of this world, and surrender ourselves completely to the One who gave His life for us.
May we never be satisfied with merely knowing about Jesus. May we seek to know Him, walk with Him, obey Him, and reflect His love and truth every day of our lives.
